Upon landing the bomb dislodged from its wing position, bounced twice and exploded on the flight deck. Airman Thomas McGraw was taking motion pictures of carrier landings, photographed this landing and subsequent bomb explosion which killed him. Scenes from this motion picture recovered from the camera show the bomb bouncing along the deck and exploding, March 13, 1953.
