| Keywords: 900 scult luce e ombra 01.jpg en The town administrators of Preganziol asked artists from the area to submit creative sculptural ideas to be placed in the city Local artists of different generations and dedicated to art and hand craft of metals began with the study of the area ” to introduce a sculpture of value interesting for its content and for the quality of the workmanship Iron and the art of metal work have always been of fundamental importance in the development of agrarian society ;Sculpture The sculpture was conceived to represent the passing of time through the natural succession of day and night With this idea it was trivial yet very efficient to begin with the concept of the meridians that are easily found on the walls of most villas and homes in our area The meridian is an instrument made of humble materials but rich of knowledge comparable to our grandparents who were poor in material wealth but rich in spirit and wisdom The five steel Cor-Ten plates that hold the functioning meridian are the guide for the natural creation of the lines of this project The variety and difference of the graphic traces depend on the requirements for completion of the quadrant and especially of the need to consider the geographic and construction factors such as local coordinates orientation and inclination of projecting surface These shapes become the basis of the conception of a sculpture complete of elements that all have a formal and static function The polar style that indicates the time is the cylindrical element in satin-finished steel that perforates with force the meridian plate but which at the same time sustains it and gives it shape Cor-Ten and satin finished steel two elements that are counter posed in our sculpture in form function and area Both metal alloys represent the evolution of iron The first alloyed with copper the second with nickel and chrome One rusted the other polished unassailable One a plate the other a cylindrical element Different but functional together ;City of Preganziol The city of Preganziol lies in the plain lands between Treviso and Venice The Terraglio one of the most important historical roads of the Veneto region runs through it as well different rivers once important that today have become small ditches visible from the road Once upon a time the roads between Treviso and Mestre were tortuous for the presence of the many small rivers that run through the Zosagna Therefore the town administrators for the 13th century decided to create a canal to be fed by the Sile and other rivers that would connect these two areas However it became easier to build a road from the terrain that was dug up from the construction of the canal Travellers can enjoy a rich and beautiful landscape even the speed at which we often travel seldom allows us to enjoy the countryside and the surrounding villas Preganziol developed on agriculture and many Venetian nobility built their summer villas in this areas to escape from the summer heat of Venice The villas in our territory are rich with the history and art that have accompanied our ancestors while they cultivated the land and worked on fixing their tools forging hoes shovels and ploughshares own Sculpture9999 2006 Preganziol TV Art in Preganziol Sculptors from Italy 20th-century art in Italy Sculptures in the province of Treviso Preganziol COR-TEN-Steel | ||||
