The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department last month charged Christine M. St. Amour with failure to provide proper sustenance, a misdemeanor under the animal cruelty statute. St. Amour, 56, is accused of failing to take care of six horses she owned, sheriff’s officials said. Deputies charged her after an investigation. A veterinarian was called to examine the horses and determined they were poorly fed, and that their feet had not been trimmed causing them to have problems walking and causing them extreme pain.
