On 14/6/14 - 12pm ,when i tried to redeem the pop corn from HOYTS melbourne central, i was advise to print the voucher for the popcorn instead of simply showing the barcode on my phone. I was luckily allowed for a one time exception on this to redeem my popcorn. However i am bewildered why a technological advanced telecommunication company which i believe part of the corporate values in creating environmentally awareness by reducing unnecessary paper and ink cost, would require customers to print out vouchers where when you could redeem movie vouchers where you are allowed to scan the barcode off your phone. Unless there is a technological flaw that allow users to scan the popcorn voucher barcode twice or more to redeem for more than one popcorn, the medium in which the barcode exist on whether paper or digital; does it really matter? To cut the long story short, i hope to be able to redeem popcorn vouchers by scanning the barcode off my mobile in future as per the movie vouchers... If it is possible i hope to see this stated in your mass email to customers or on the evoucher itself to customers. I am spending time to give feedback, as i truly hope to improve the customer service and reputation on Optus and i am grateful for the fantastic movie deals i am enjoying so far. I truly enjoy the great customer service at HOYTS and please see this feedback as a opportunity to improve your service. What is your take on this? ------------------------------------------- Dear Optus On a separate note, i am grateful for the $10 movie vouchers for HOYTS movies. I am pleased to have been able to scan the barcode on the e voucher on my mobile to redeem my movie tickets. However when HOYTS offer their e voucher for the free popcorn, (after talking to HOYTS) i am required to print out the voucher and present the physical copy to them for audit purpose. It is not the inconvenience or environmental unfriendliness values lack thereof from printing the vouchers. I am worried that Optus may have incurred an audit risk by not requiring users to print out the hard copy movie voucher.
