Amsterdam police told us Monday that the victim died at Albany Medical Center. Michael Donyell Norwood is now being charged with homicide. Police say the assault took place Tuesday in front of the victim’s young children on Garden and Union Streets. They’re now in the hands of Child Protective Services. The victim is now in critical condition at Albany Medical Center with severe head injuries.
