Carlow. She has a friendly, but compelling gaze. This photo was taken just days before this train station closed forever on 1 April 1963. Thanks to Flying Snail for the information that "This photo was featured on a BBC railway walk series about 15 years ago in which Mrs Lawlor was interviewed" and apparently Mrs Lawlor was described as being the last "halt keeper."
