These are staff at the Ardmore schoolhouse in Co Waterford. Considering that the scholars from a companion photo (which we shared a few years back) are of the "mature student" variety, we presumed that these were the leaders of a school of language and music/culture. From previous investigations and the Waterford County Museum notes, we knew that the schoolhouse was demolished in the 1950s - but could we find-out any more about the school and staff? As usual our intrepid Flickroonies were up to the challenge, and sharon.corbet Dr O Mac, and Carol Maddock in particular were able to confirm the location of the school, its use as a teacher-training facility, and even the likely names for some of the subjects of this and the companion photo.
