After a time back home in England, this card sees her return to France. As far as I can tell (corrections and additions welcome) this reads: "9.6.15 Boulogne Arrived here safely are to stay the night at Hotel. No orders yet may come tonight or tomorrow. Arrived 1[?] o'clock were met[?] & had ambulance to Hotel where all lunched - same hotel we came to on way home. Then came here - we 5*. Very comfortable have had a walk, met an old Guy**. [???] & must find dinner somewhere only get bed & breakfast here. 3 rooms leading into one another, mine largest facing quay. Splendid crossing very windy. Fell quite ill. Love Mar Going near St Omer***" * I have a strong suspicion that this will be the same group of nurses that we have seen in earlier photos, including Margaret Ripley herself, Edith Lear, and possibly two from Colchester, Todd, Finlay & White ** I suspect that the mention of Guy is actually Guys Hospital *** This note will probably have written after receiving the orders mentioned previously For more details of the story behind this album see www.flickr.com/photos/whatsthatpicture/sets/7215762769463...
