The property to the east at Georgia and Seymour Streets (far right) will become the first phase of expansion (built 1911-13, extant). After the demolition of the 1893 structure, the second phase of expansion will be completed to match the first (extant). A third expansion phase continued the store north down Granville Street (1926) and a fourth phase expanded the store north down Seymour Street (1949-50). The building on the NW corner (bottom left) was the Johnston-Howe Block, completed in 1901. Demolished 1972 to make way for the IBM Building (built 1973-75).
