Have I mentioned these before? I had to take a laptop over to the theatre today in preparation for tomorrow's practical exam. While I was there I noticed that this follow spotlight was running so I grabbed a quick snap. For some, 'super trouper' has become synonymous with any follow spotlight, but like Hoovers, Tannoys and Xeroxes, they're very specific products. Starting from the first manufacture in 1957, Ballantyne Strong are still making them today. And are you ready for some Abba trivia? We'll never really know if it was beams from a Super Trouper that blinded Abba on stage in Glasgow like the song describes, but we do know that in the song video at least those beams came from a CCT Silhouette. :) No, it isn't really a Super Trouper.
