Generally we leave on Friday evening and reach the hotel at about eleven pm. That means we struggle for parking and often get a dodgy room. This year, thanks to some extensive timetable homeworking and an accommodating boss (thanks Dave!) I've got a toil day, so we've come up during the day and are at the hotel already. This gives us a great opportunity to look at Lincoln this evening, but to be honest I'm knackered! On the way here we stopped off at Scampton (just ten minutes away) because Laura knew that the Reds were due to land at 14:40. This is a routine landing at home base, with no crowds to perform to. Even so, we got a looped diamond nine followed by a vertical break for landing. You can't turn off showmanship! :) Tomorrow is the airshow at RAF Waddington, and according to tradition and through the great generosity of Sue we've got a great hospitality package.
