Accommodation is always a bit tricky for the show, and it pays to book early. I actually went VERY early, and booked on pretty much the day they announced the date. The Premier Inn, our preferred venue, had no bookings available, but the Travelodge had some. We'd stayed there once before when it was all we could get, and it actually wasn't that bad. We arrive between nine and ten pm and we're out again at 7am, so all we really need is a bed and a pot to piss in. It provided both for £30. I didn't sleep brilliantly, though that wasn't the motel's fault. What I was very pleased to discover was about, of all things, mobile phone software. I road tested the sat nav on the new work phone, and I'm delighted to report that Nokia haven't thrown the baby out with the bathwater. Nokia's nav software was always superb, and rather than using some horrible Bing solution in Windows Phone, they've just made their own software even better. A real joy to use. :) Today saw a drive to Lincolnshire after work, in anticipation of the Waddington Air Show on Saturday.
