Last week I got my first MOT failure on a bike...awww. The thing is I knew it was going to fail before I even left my own street, as the rear brake wasn't working brilliantly. I couldn't test the bike until it was going for an MOT though due to legal reasons! Anyway, sorting the back brake out was a doddle - it just needed bleeding. The front brake however, though it passed the test, decided to go sticky on me and start seizing. This needed a strip down and clean of the caliper. It's not a difficult job, but not one I've tackled before, so out came the trusty Haynes to get some more oily thumbprints. :) Tonight was spent rather uncharacteristically doing motorbike work.
