On the third attempt at accessing my easy and convenient payment network of local stores I managed to procure a saveaway, which these days goes under the guise of a Walrus Card, and hopped the bus to Lime Street. From there it was a train on the Wirral Line to try the Wirral Coastal Path. The plan was to vaguely walk along 10,000 steps and then get the ferry back over to Liverpool. A quick chat with someone on the train suggested that direct ferries don't run on Sundays - only river cruises. That thwarted that plan, so I elected to get off at Moreton, walk along to New Brighton and review the step count there. As it goes that was a good plan, and New Brighton brought me 10k steps. Interestingly, I can't remember the last time I used New Brighton station but went straight to it as if from some kind of race memory! This moment was caught when a young family at New Brighton walked up to the waterline. I'd like it a bit more contrasty but didn't want to process it too much.
