I wanted a lie in but got woken by a seagull orgy at half six. I got up at seven and went to Tesco for some bread. This is the footpath along part of the park that is prone to flooding. It was prone to flooding before the footpath, so guess what - the footpath floods as well. Still, a flood is quite timely as it gives me a chance to mention 617 Squadron. They're of course the famous 'dambusters' squadron formed by Guy Gibson, and their squadron motto is 'apres moi le deluge'. Yesterday they disbanded, or perhaps more accurately were mothballed. They'll strike up again in a couple of years, equipped with state of the art Lightning II fighters based at RAF Marham in Norfolk. This is necessary progress, and ultimately a good thing, but it saddens me a bit as I really like Tornadoes and I really like Lossiemouth. Ah well. I'll always have the memories. :) It's hard to believe, given that it's a balmy Spring day now, that it was pissing down at half seven. I wanted a lie in but got woken by a seagull orgy at half six.
