Police were at the scene interviewing several witnesses. Witnesses to the incident, who were unidentified, said it started when a gray Honda Accord pulled into the middle of Frontage Road. Several people exited the vehicle and started fighting in front of City Hall, witnesses said. A witness said the stabbed man stated "I just got stabbed ... He [expletive] stabbed me." Witnesses, including a crew from Channel 9 TV in Albany who were at the scene, said that after the man was stabbed, several persons ran to the east side of City Hall. The man was left bleeding and police soon arrived outside to attend to the stabbing victim. People inside the vehicle were interviewed. The Accord was eventually towed and the victim was taken away from the scene. Police Chief Porter said the stabbing victim was being taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital.
