The river flooding is of epic proportion and the highest ever seen on record in many areas. Families are trapped by the sudden rising waters. Heroic efforts are underway by the LDWF, United States Coast Guard, Louisiana Army National Guard, Firefighters, Louisiana State Police, and Good Samaritans with Boats to assist and rescue.
