Semi-thick shrub with a scandal character, dimensions around 6.0 meters, perennial of thin and flexible branches.\nThe leaves are green, oval acuminate and alternate in the branches.\nThe pendant inflorescences are composed of showy bicolored flowers, yellow with the petals cut in red and long stamens of white anthers, in a shape that resembles a slipper or shoe.

Solandra grandiflora, the showy chalicevine, or papaturra or Cangkir Mas, is a member of the nightshade,  Solanaceae  genus Solandra and is a climbing plant with large, attractive, trumpet-shaped flowers.

Thunbergia mysorensis is a woody-stemmed, evergreen, climbing plant native to India. The genus name Thunbergia commemorates Swedish physician and botanist, Carl Peter Thunberg (1743-1828). The species name 'mysorensis' refers to the city of Mysore in southern India. Other names include brick & butter vine, lady’s slipper vine, and doll’s shoe. It is an attractive plant for winter and spring flowering in a conservatory or warm greenhouse.

Two flower spikes of a perennial Capachito (Calceolaria thyrsiflora) growing in the foothills of the Andes near the capital Santiago. There are about 60 species of Calceolaria native to Chile, and several of the yellow-flowered species are called “Capachito” (from hooded Capuchin monks) by the local inhabitants and so are not distinguished by common names. In the English-speaking world the Calceolaria are often known as ‘slipper flower’ or ‘pocketbook flower’ because of their purse-shaped lower flower petals. This species is mostly restricted to central Chile.
