L 55-62 cm, WS 105-117 cm.\nBreeds on arctic islands and coasts, preferring low tundra near sea coasts.\nMigratory, main movements late Sept.-Oct. and late May, largely keeping to traditional routes; often concentrated passage in spring.\nHabits duck-like, often resting on open sea (dense flocks) and feeding in shallow waters, upending to reach main food or eel-grass; also grazers on mudflats and grassy fields.\n\nThis beautiful little Goose is mostly to be seen in Dutch Coastal Regions, such as the Wadden Islands. This picture is made on the Island of Texel in Spring (April) of 2018.
