Palm Warbler profile
Palm warbler in evergreen tree (eastern hemlock). One of the first warblers to appear in the eastern U.S. as a spring migrant. Note the chestnut cap and streaks. Often wags its tail. Named for the palm trees in its wintering grounds. Breeds mainly in Canada, and winters in the Caribbean, Central America, and southeastern U.S. Photographed migrating north through Connecticut in early April.

Palm Warbler
The Western Bluebird (Sialia mexicana) is a small member of the thrush family, about 5.9 to 7.1 inches in length. Adult males are bright blue on top and on the throat with an orange breast and a gray belly.  A year-round resident of the American Southwest, this Western Bluebird was photographed at Walnut Canyon Lakes in Flagstaff, Arizona, USA.
