The Kentucky Warbler is a beautiful diminutive bird found in forests. This one was photographed at Vache Grasse Park, an old decommissioned Corps of Engineers Park in Western Arkansas.
A female mourning warbler is facing up and to the right for a close-up image of its head in profile, and part of its chest in three quarter view.  The eye is in perfect focus and reflects its surroundings while the pupil is still visible.  The mourning warbler has plumage that is gray mixed with gold and yellow, on its head, light gray, on its chest and darker gray throughout.

Named for the palm trees in its wintering grounds. Breeds mainly in Canada, and winters in the Caribbean, Central America, and southeastern U.S. Photographed migrating north through Connecticut in early April.
