Old monastery in Italy
The church, with its cloister, was built together with the convent of the Hermits of San'Agostino in 1270 and rebuilt a century later together with the cathedral. The bell tower, as mentioned, is mentioned by Leopardi in his poem of the solitary sparrow. The tower represents the highest point of the village of Recanati, where the poet imagines a sparrow, which scrutinizes the slow and monotonous life of the citadel. The poet would like to be exactly like the sparrow, as his species allows him to always live in solitude, without experiencing feelings of happiness or unhappiness, much suffered by Leopardi.

The beautiful and harmonious facade of the Abbey Church of San Pietro in the medieval heart of Assisi in Umbria, central Italy. Built in Romanesque and Gothic style in the 10th century by the Benedictines, the facade was made of red stone from the nearby Monte Subasio. It has a rectangular shape with three entrance portals and three rose windows. The large central portal is surmounted by an arch and a larger rose window. Famous for being the city of San Francesco and Santa Chiara (St Francis and St Clare), Assisi is recognized in the world as a place of spirituality and peace between all peoples and different confessions. The Umbria region, considered the green lung of Italy for its wooded mountains, is characterized by a perfect integration between nature and the presence of man, in a context of environmental sustainability and healthy life. In addition to its immense artistic and historical heritage, Umbria is famous for its food and wine production and for the high quality of the olive oil produced in these lands. Since 2000 the Franciscan sites of Assisi have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Super wide angle image in high definition quality.
