A suggestive and colorful small square in the fishing village of Numana, along the Riviera del Conero, in the Marche region, in central Italy. Founded in ancient times by the Piceni people and later by Greeks and Romans, the village of Numana is today a famous tourist attraction for the beauty of its nature and for the splendid coast of the Conero Riviera, a destination for thousands of tourists during the summer season. The Riviera del Conero extends along the Adriatic Sea, on the eastern Italian coast, and is largely made up of the Monte Conero Regional Park, established as a protected natural area in 1987.
