Rome, Italy, October 22 -- A catholic priest inside the church of St. Louis of the French, near Piazza Navona. Built between 1518 and 1589 on plans by the architect Giacomo Della Porta, the church was consecrated on 8 October 1589. St. Louis of the French is considered the church of the French in Rome, particularly dedicated to the figure of King St. Louis IX. Bruges, Belgium - June 22, 2012: The Belfry (Belltower) in Market Square (Markt) in historic city center. It is a medieval bell tower that  formerly housed a treasury and the municipal archives, and served as an observation post for spotting fires and other danger. In the 16th century the tower received a carillon, allowing the bells to be played by means of a hand keyboard. Bruges has most of its medieval architecture intact and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Tourists are walking around.

One of Tirol’s true architectural gems is the splendid Cistercian Abbey of Stams, founded in 1273. The photo shows the interior of the baroque collegiate church.
