(Pholis laeta) the Crescent Gunnel is identified by the row of crescent shape pattern on their backs.  They live in the intertidal zone to 100 feet in depth.  They range from the Aleutian Islands to California.  They are nocturnal feeding on mollusks, worms, and shrimp.  They are a favorite food source for herons, diving ducks, cormorants, loons and gulls.

At a roadside in Surrey, England, grows a cluster of white domed mushrooms that flatten in shape as they get older. They could be (Agaricus campestris) or a similar Agaricus, but there are simple tests to be made before any mushroom is pronounced as edible. Local wildlife has taken a peck or two.
