$Densely branched spiny deciduous shrub, 1,5-3m, with yellowish, ridged twigs; spines 3-forked. Leaves oval, finely spine-edged. Flowers bright yellow, 6-8mm, in pendent racemes. Berry oblong, bright orange-red when ripe, edible.\nHabitat: Hedgerows, dry woodland and scrub, rocky places, often on calcareous soils, to 2300m.\nFlowering Season: May-June.\nDistribution: Throughout Europe, except the far north. Naturalized in Britain and Scandinavia.\n\nThis nice Species is to found in the Sand Dune Regions of the Dutch Coast.$

$Acacia baileyana, also called Cootamundra waffle, is a large evergreen shrub or small tree, adorned with a wide-spreading canopy and weeping branches, clothed in feathery, finely cut, blue-gray leaves. The foliage remains appealing all year round. In late winter to early spring, clouds of bright golden-yellow, small, rounded flowers held in axillary racemes cover the branches and create a striking floral display. As some photos show, it is a great plant for slopes and banks.\nThese photos were taken on a very windy day in spring.$
