Lychnis coronaria, also called Rose Campion, is a species of flowering plant in the family Caryophyllaceae, native to Eurasia. It is a perennial, growing to 80cm tall by 45cm wide, with gray felted leaves and single, bright magenta flowers, produced in succession around July.
The flower is Abelia × grandiflora, which is a cross between A. chinensis and A. uniflora. It is a rounded, spreading, multi-stemmed shrub in the honeysuckle family. The plant features clusters of white to pink, bell-shaped flowers which appear in the upper leaf axils and stem ends over a long period from late spring to autumn. Flowers are fragrant.

Loropetalum chinense, commonly called Chinese fringe flower, is a white-flowered broad-leaved evergreen shrub of the witch hazel family. It is native to woodlands in Japan, China and Southeast Asia. Leaves are pale green. Lightly aromatic, spidery flowers bloom in clusters in spring (late March-April). Each flower has four narrow, downward-drooping, strap-shaped white petals. However, it is the rubrum variety, with its reddish or pink flowers, that made this shrub popular in landscaping.
