The Worthington Glacier is located near Valdez, Alaska. This glacier is able to be reached by a car. Traveling along the Richardson Highway, this glacier is a popular stopping ground for many tourists. On this day it was a beautiful sight with the Chugach Mountains rising in the distance. The fall colors shine against the bright snow.

Glaciers are sensitive indicators of global warming. The photograph shows the Moreno Glacier where it enters Lago Argentino, Patagonia. The water in the lake is around 14ºC in summer, melting the ice face from beneath, leaving huge masses of ice hanging. As the photograph shows, when the overhang weight is larger than the shear force strength of the ice wall, gigantic ice block crash into Lago Argentino, eroding the glacial front wall. Moreno Glacier if one of the few glaciers in the world where the erosion at the front is still slower than the replenishment from behind. Global warming is steadily warming the surface waters of Lago Argentino leading to a more rapid erosion at the glacial front. In this sense the Moreno Glacier is a benchmark for global warming since once the Moreno Glacier starts to retreat, global warming impact will be global.

Alaska, United States:-The Le Conte Glacier is a 21-mile long glacier in the Tongass National Forest in the Alaska.

The Tangle Lakes are is just one of many places that people can visit while traveling along the Denali Highway. This area is known for its many lakes, for camping, and for the many blueberries and cranberries that can be gathered there.

The Briksdalsbreen glacier or Briksdal glacier, is one of the most accessible and best known arms of the Jostedalsbreen glacier. Briksdalsbreen is located in the municipality of Stryn in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The glacier lies on the north side of the Jostedalsbreen, in Briksdalen (the Briks valley) which is located at the end of the Oldedalen valley, about 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of the village of Olden. It is located inside Jostedalsbreen National Park. Briksdalsbreen terminates in a small glacial lake, Briksdalsbrevatnet, which lies 346 metres (1,135 ft) above sea level.
