This is a small to medium size perennial herbaceous plant of the buttercup family, native to marshes, fens, ditches and wet woodland in temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. It flowers between April and August, dependent on altitude and latitude.

Kerria japonica, commonly called Japanese kerria or Japanese rose, is a graceful, spring-flowering, deciduous shrub that is native to certain mountainous areas of Japan and China. It grows to 1-2m tall on slender, arching, yellowish-green stems. Single, five-petaled, as well as double petaled, yellow flowers bloom somewhat profusely in spring.

Tecoma stans is a species of flowering perennial shrub in the trumpet vine family, Bignoniaceae, and is native to the Americas. Common names are yellow trumpetbush, yellow bells, yellow elder, ginger-thomas. This ornamental plant has sharply toothed, pinnate green leaves and bears large, showy, bright golden yellow trumpet-shaped flowers. It is drought-tolerant and grows well in warm climates. The plant produces pods containing yellow seeds with papery wings.

Carolina jasmine, also called ‘Gelsemium sempervirens’ (scientific name), is known for its brilliant display of fragrant, bright yellow flowers. This flowering plant in the family of Gelsemiaceae is native to southeastern United States and has beautiful emerald, green foliage. Its vine climbs beautifully on a trellises, arbors, fences and walls.

Euphorbia cyparissias, or Cypress Spurge, is a perennial herb with erect stems, narrow and needle-like leaves, and yellow, crescent-shaped glands on the rim of its cup-shaped flowers. The flowers appear in spring and early summer, consisting of lime-yellow bracts that slowly fade to red-orange as they mature. It spreads by rhizomes and can be quite invasive.
Family Crassulaceae. Rhodiola rosea is used as a tea to relieve fatigue, exhaustion, to improve performance and endurance.
