Ancient Ruins of Palmyra, Syria
Perspolis, Iran- May 26, 2010: Iran is a somehow mysterious country in people' eye but a desirable travel destination for its long history. Persepolis, 60km north to Shiraz, was once the ceremonial capital of the great Persian empire of the Achaemenid kings. Persepolis is a mirror of the magnificent ancient history and culture of Iran. Here is the remains of the anicent Imperial Palace in Perspolis.

The ancient Dacian ruins at Sarmizegetusa Regia, in the Transylvania region of Romania. Sarmizegetusa Regia was the capital and the most important military, religious and political centre of the Dacians prior to the wars with the Roman Empire. Erected on top of a 1200 m high mountain, the fortress, comprising six citadels, was the core of a strategic defensive system in the Orăştie Mountains (in present-day Romania). Naqsh-e Rustam, Tomb of Persian Kings in Fars province, Iran
Petra, built around 300 B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, is the world famous archaeological site in Jordan's southwestern desert. Capital of the Nabatean Kingdom it seamlessly blends Arab style with Hellenistic and Roman or Byzantine architecture. Accessed via Al Siq, a narrow canyon, it contains tombs and temples carved into the pink sandstone cliffs, hence the 'Rose City' The most famous and iconic structure is Al Khazneh, a temple with an ornate Greek-style facade, also known as The Treasury
