Oslo, Norway: Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, including the the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), FK Norway, the Norwegian “Peace Corps”, and the developing country investment fund Norfund - Victoria terrasse building, completed in 1890, then Norway's largest and finest tenement complex. The main architect was Henrik Thrap-Meyer, but other architects were also involved, including Olaf Due in collaboration with Paul Due and Bernhard Christoph Steckmest. It was taken over by the Norwegian government in 1913 and put to use by the police and various departments, such as the Geological Survey of Norway. During the occupation of Norway in April 1940, the building was taken over by the German forces, housing the Sicherheitsdienst (SD) and Sicherheitspolizei (SiPo), which included the Gestapo.
