Col d'Izoard (2,360 m (7,743 ft)) is a mountain pass in the French Alps. There are forbidding, barren scree slopes with pinnacles of weathered rock on the upper south side known as the Casse Déserte. On the Col d'Izoard (2,360 m (7,743 ft)) there is a memorial to Coppi and Bobet, two cycling heroes from the 1950-s. The col has formed a dramatic backdrop to some key moments in the Tour de France.
