World famous tile work at the great iwan (or portal) of Jame (or Jameh or Friday) Mosque with mosaic decoration. Jameh Mosque is having the tallest portal of all mosques in Iran. This mosque (in local language called Masjid-e Jame) was built in the 14th century a.d. and is one of the main touristic highlights in the desert town of Yazd, Iran.

The west-side Iwan (gate) of Jameh or Friday Mosque of Isfahan is the grand, congregational mosque (Jāmeh) of Isfahān city. The mosque is the result of continual construction, reconstruction, additions and renovations on the site from around 771 to the end of the 20th century. The Grand Bazaar of Isfahan can be found towards the southwest wing of the mosque. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012.
