This is a beautiful long exposure image of the Pleiades or m45 (Messier 45). Also known as the Seven Sisters, it is a bright open star cluster found in the constellation Taurus. The cluster is about 400 light years distant and is the brightest observable cluster with the naked eye. Incidentally, it is from this star cluster that Subaru has designed their logo.
