Rome, Italy, October 22 -- A catholic priest inside the church of St. Louis of the French, near Piazza Navona. Built between 1518 and 1589 on plans by the architect Giacomo Della Porta, the church was consecrated on 8 October 1589. St. Louis of the French is considered the church of the French in Rome, particularly dedicated to the figure of King St. Louis IX. This Basilica, built on the Celian hill since the 4th century in the early Christian era, is also known as the Cathedral of Rome and is the most important and ancient basilica in the Western world.
