Bakong Temple is the first temple mountain of sandstone constructed by rulers of the Khmer empire at Angkor near modern Siem Reap in Cambodia. In the final decades of the 9th century AD, it served as the official state temple of King Indravarman I in the ancient city of Hariharalaya, located in an area that today is called Roluos.

The Wat Phra Sri Mahathat in Lop Buri, a large Royal temple in the center of the town. The temple was founded when Lopburi was under control of the Khmer empire from Angkor.  The main prang was built by the Khmer in the Bayon style in the late 12th or early 13th century.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh in the Chhatarpur district of India near the small town of Khajuraho, the temples are famous for their architectural symbolism and erotic sculptures. The Hindu and Jain temples were built between AD 900 and 1130. At one time, there were about 85 temples, only about 20 temples remain today.  The Vishwanath Temple is famous for beautifully carved sculptures. It contains a 6-foot high Nandi bull placed on top of a platform.

Anmer, Norfolk, England - September 22, 2015: Part of the village street with the village sign in Anmer, Norfolk, eastern England. Anmer is a small village near Queen Elizabeth II’s country home, Sandringham House. In Anmer village is the country home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Anmer Hall. The sign was unveiled in 2007 by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and has a Roman soldier on one side, with this side showing a Boy Scout: it is thought that the Iceni fought the Roman army nearby and the Queen had allowed a Scout jamboree to be held there in 1957.

Maheshwar is a small religious and historical town in India. It's considered a sacred place in Hindu religion and is famous for it's Ghats and fort. Maheshwar town was built by Rani Ahilyabai Holkar on the banks of river Narmada. It was the capital of the Malwa during the Maratha Holkar reign till1818, when the capital was shifted to Indore  by King.
