Florence, Italy - August 13, 2016: The Equestrian Monument of Cosimo I is a bronze statue located in the Piazza della Signoria in Florence, Italy. The statue depicts Cosimo I de' Medici, the first Grand Duke of Tuscany, on horseback, dressed in full armor and holding a baton.\nThe statue was created by the renowned Italian sculptor Giambologna in the late 16th century. It stands atop a pedestal made of white Carrara marble, which features reliefs depicting scenes from Cosimo's life and the allegories of Justice and Military Virtue.\nThe statue itself is a masterpiece of Renaissance art, with its dynamic composition and attention to detail.
