The first light of the evening envelops the statue of the Emperor Gaius Iulius Caesar Augustus, also know as Octavian or Augustus, along the Fori Imperiali boulevard, in the ancient and imperial heart of Rome. This bronze statue, placed in front of the Trajan's Forum, is a copy of the marble original currently preserved in the Vatican Museums. Caesar Augustus was the first Roman emperor, revered as father of the homeland (Patri Patriae) and artecife of a long period of domination, prosperity and peace throughout the empire, known as Pax Romana. In the background the Forum of Trajan and the baroque dome of the church of the Santissimo Nome di Maria. In 1980 the historic center of Rome was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
