Hartmannswillerkopf, ook wel bekend onder de naam Vieil Armand, is een berg in de Vogezen in het zuiden van de Elzas. De piek van de berg ligt op 956 meter boven de zeespiegel en naar het oosten heeft de bezoeker een vrij uitzicht over de vallei van de Rijn. Bij Hartmannswillerkopf werd tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog zwaar gevochten. De strijd tussen het Duitse en Franse leger leidde tot een loopgravenoorlog. Restanten van deze loopgraven en versterkingen zijn op deze locatie nog aanwezig.

Bodrum, Turkey, Nowember 30, 2022; Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum\nIn 1962 the Turkish Government decided to turn the castle into a museum for the underwater discoveries of ancient shipwrecks in the Aegean Sea. This has become the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, with a collection of amphoras, ancient glass, bronze, clay, and iron items. It is the biggest museum of its kind devoted to underwater archaeology. Most of its collection dates from underwater excavations carried out by the Institute of Nautical Archaeology (INA) after 1960.

Also known as the Habsburg–Valois War and the Last Italian War, it was triggered when Henry II of France declared war on Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. He wanted to recapture parts of Italy  with the intent of recapturing parts of Italy to ensure the French rather than the Habsburgs ruled Europe. The war was settled by the Treaty of Cateau-Cambrésis.
