Designed by kengo kuma and associates, the kadokawa culture museum contains a total of five storeys behind its granite façade. the first floor has a small library and a 1,000 square meter (10,764 square feet) gallery for exhibitions relating to a variety of themes including: nature, science, art, natural history, fashion, environment, and society. the second floor hosts a café and a shop, while the third storey is dedicated in its entirety to the presentation of anime.

Hartmannswillerkopf, ook wel bekend onder de naam Vieil Armand, is een berg in de Vogezen in het zuiden van de Elzas. De piek van de berg ligt op 956 meter boven de zeespiegel en naar het oosten heeft de bezoeker een vrij uitzicht over de vallei van de Rijn. Bij Hartmannswillerkopf werd tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog zwaar gevochten. De strijd tussen het Duitse en Franse leger leidde tot een loopgravenoorlog. Restanten van deze loopgraven en versterkingen zijn op deze locatie nog aanwezig.

Normandy, France, September 02, 2019: Looking at a 150mm canon of the Longues-sur-Mer artillery battery wich was constructed during the World War II by germans army near the french village of Longues-sur-Mer. The battery was sited on a 60 m (200 ft) cliff overlooking the north sea and formed a part of Germany's Atlantic Wall coastal fortifications. But it couldn´t prevent the Allied landing beaches of Gold and Omaha and shelled both beaches on D-Day (6 June 1944).

Image of the memorial and sculpture at the Normandy American cemetery. The memorial consists of a semicircular colonnade with a loggia at each end containing large maps of the military operations. The bronze statue in the center is called “Spirit of American Youth Rising from the Waves”. The cemetery is located at Colleville-sur-Mer near Omaha Beach, one of the landing beaches of D-Day in June 1944, and contains the graves of 9.385 military dead, most of whom lost their lives in the D-Day landings and following operations.
