Møntergården is the cultural history museum in Odense. It a collection of buildings from different periods in the town with the oldest dated back to year 1547 and the latest building 2013. These became redundant from Monday February 15th 1971 - at which date the UK changed to decimal currency. The value of the ten shilling banknote was equivalent to £0.50 in the 'new' currency. It was the smallest denomination banknote ever issued by the Bank of England.

East Doors (Gates of Paradise) by Lorenzo Ghiberti on Florence Baptistery (Battistero di San Giovanni) in Tuscany, Italy. These doors consist of 10 panels depicting scenes from the Old Testament and were commissioned in 1424. Once completed, they were described by Michelangelo as being fit to be the 'gates of paradise'. The doors displayed are now a copy of the original, with those being displayed in a local museum.
