Fiery orange-red coloured flowers of Butea monosperma (flame of the forest) , a deciduous tree native to Indian subcontinent, mostly West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand state. Osmanthus fragrans, native to Asia (Japan, China and Himalayas), and commonly called fragrant olive, sweet olive or sweet tea, produces clusters of flowers that have an extremely powerful apricot fragrance. It is a small, upright, evergreen tree that will grow to 3-10 meters tall. Tiny white, orange, gold or reddish flowers, depending on species, appear in clusters in late summer through into fall. The plant has very fragrant flower.

Dhalkut Wilayat, Dhofar Governorate, Oman: incense tree (Boswellia sacra) in the wilderness, mountains near the Yemeni border- the Frankincense tree or olibanum tree is a tree in the Burseraceae family, it is the main representative of the genus Boswellia, from which frankincense is extracted, native to the Arabian Peninsula, specifically to to Oman and Yemen - The resin is harvested by making a shallow incision in the trunk or branches of the tree and removing a narrow strip of bark. A milky sap flows out, which coagulates on contact with air and which is then collected by hand -  Tentative Unesco world heritage site, the area as a whole including Dhofar region in Oman and Hawf region in Yemen has been described as a center of plant diversity, and as a 'fog oasis' in the Arabian Peninsula which is predominantly arid.

Photo showing a short, dumpy English specimen of a hornbeam tree (Latin name: carpinus betulus), appearing rather like a bonsai tree with its unusually thick trunk.  This tree is growing in a wildflower meadow, where it has previously suffered storm damage and has fully recovered, growing strongly once more.  The picture was taken early on a sunny morning, when the sky was particularly blue.
