This is a natural ice sculpture created by Lake Michigan's winter waves crashing against the cliffs of Door County, Wisconsin, on a very chilly January day. It is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

The photo was taken at extreme weather conditions and subzero temperature at lake Michigan in a month of February. The waterfront building of the Grand Haven lighthouse was frozen, and the thick ice formations were covering the building around (and remained for a few weeks, until the spring thaw).

The St. Joseph North Pier Inner and Outer Lights are lighthouses in Michigan at the entrance to the St. Joseph River on Lake Michigan. The current lights built in 1906 and 1907.
Lake Superior's North Shore, Minnesota runs from Duluth Minnesota to Thunder Bay and Nipigon Ontario Canada.  a total of 154 miles. The North Shore refers to both the shore of the lake and all the rivers which run into the lake.
