Aybak /Samangan, Samangan Province, Afghanistan: Haibak or Aibak (from Uzbek 'cave dwellers') is the capital of the northern Afghan province of Samangan, as well as the name of the surrounding district. The city lies on the river Cholm at an altitude of 959 meters, has over 30,000 inhabitants. Mentioned by Ptolemy as the place of the Varni or Uarni and the fortified city of Samangan on the banks of the Khulm River. Founded by Eucratides I, the King of Bactria, it was then known as Eukratidia. During the Kushan Dynasty it was a famous Buddhist centre (Takht-e Rustam). Ancient caravan stop on the silk road.

Mazar-i-Sharif, Balkh province, Afghanistan: Shrine of Ali (Hazrat Ali Mazar) aka Blue Mosque or Rawza - central element of Mazar's main square, Rawza square - known as the burial place of Ali ibn Abi Talib, cousin of Mohammed. He was the first male follower of Muhammad and married his daughter Fatima. Ali was the fourth Rightly Guided caliph and is regarded as the rightful immediate successor to Muhammad and the first Imam by Shia Muslims. It is controversial among historians whether Ali is actually buried there. The Imam Ali mosque in Najaf in Iraq is also considered the burial place of Ali ibn Abi Talib. Covered in intricate Persian Qashani tile work with calligraphy and Islamic patterns. Numerous incidental people in the image, none prominent.

The Yellow River Stone forest is located in Jingtai County, Baiyin City,\n Gansu Province, with a total area of about 50 square kilometers. It was formed 2.1 million years ago. Its formation and evolution clearly record the changes of the paleogeographic environment in this region since the uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It is a comprehensive geological heritage integrating geomorphology, geological structure, natural landscape and human history. It is a geological heritage nature reserve of Gansu Province, a national geopark, and a famous tourist attraction in China.
