The historic Lossiemouth Old Bridge, a renowned local landmark, was sadly closed in July 2019 due to safety concerns. Citizens had noticed an alarming lean to one side of the structure, prompting an urgent evaluation. It was revealed that the structure's decay had been largely accelerated by its overuse. This unfortunate closure led to a lengthy three-mile diversion, with locals  forced to access the local beach via Lossiemouth forest car park and the lesser-known Arthurs bridge.
