Heptonstall was a working Yorkshire weaving village until hand loom weaving became unprofitable. Today it is very smart, very tidy and colourful in summer but sometimes extremely quiet. When this photo was taken it was ghost-like, and we didn't see any people at all.  Sylvia Plath was buried there and often lots of visitors arrive to pay their respects. The photo was taken from the other side of the valley using a long lens.
