Gualdo Tadino, Umbria, Italy, December 26 -- A beautiful living scene of the Nativity of Christ made in period costumes by the people of the medieval village of Gualdo Tadino in Umbria, central Italy. In the image: Some adult women prepare bread and pasta in an ancient bakery in the Nativity of Christ scenery. An important center since Roman times, Gualdo Tadino rises between Foligno and Gubbio along the ancient Flaminia consular road, traced by the Romans. Its history spans the entire Middle Ages and, despite being partially destroyed and sacked several times and placed under the dominion of Perugia, this ancient Umbrian center still retains its medieval charm and traditions. The Umbria region, considered the green lung of Italy for its wooded mountains, is characterized by a perfect integration between nature and the presence of man, in a context of environmental sustainability and healthy life. In addition to its immense artistic and historical heritage, Umbria is famous for its food and wine production and for the high quality of the olive oil produced in these lands. Jesus was traveling and teaching people. Jesus and the disciples were tired and went away to rest, but the crowds followed them. Jesus taught the crowd and healed the sick. When evening came, the disciples suggested that Jesus send the crowd away because there was no food to feed them. Jesus then took fives loaves of bread and two fish that a young boy had and fed the entire crowd. When everyone had eaten there were still twelve full baskets of bread and fish left.
