Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil, JUL 12, 2022, The Laçador Statue (or Laçador Monument) is a monument in the city of Porto Alegre. It is the representation of the gaucho pilchado. It was defined by municipal law as the Official Symbol of Porto Alegre in 1992. Its authorship is by the Pelotas sculptor Antônio Caringi. The statue was listed as historical heritage of Porto Alegre in 2001

According to legend, Stoertebeker  was a pirate and one of the leaders of the Vitalienbrueder, also known as the Likedeeler. Klaus Stoertebeker was beheaded in Hamburg on October 21, 1401 with 72 companions. The memorial was unvailed on June 27, 1992 on the market square in Marienhafe.
