İstanbul,Turkey October 09,2024: Tophane Pavilion is an important part of the historical texture of Istanbul and is among the buildings that attract the attention of local and foreign tourists coming to the city. Built in 1852 by the order of Sultan Abdülmecid, the pavilion bears the traces of the architectural understanding of the period.\nDesigned by the British architect William James Smith, the pavilion is a building with Western influences. Baroque-style overhangs, pencil ceiling decorations and marble fireplaces are among the most striking features of the pavilion.\nThe pavilion, which was used as a dormitory for disabled veterans in the past, is now allocated to the use of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
