Toro Muerto, Arequipa Region, Peru.  May 20th 2006.  Petroglyphs dated to the Wari culture on rocks in the Atacama Desert near the village of Corire, Peru.
Rock with petroglyphs decoration and ancestral art of Mogor beach, Marín,  Pontevedra province, Galicia, Spain, set in early Bronze Age. There is an interpretation center nearby but the Petroglyphs themselves are of public free access.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park at the coastal end of Chain of Craters Road find  the sacred Puuloa Petroglyphs, the largest petroglyph field in Hawaii. 23,000 images carved into the lava rock here, most before western contact in Hawaii. Located in the ahupuaa area of Panau Nui on the southern flank of Kilauea volcano.

Driekopseiland (Island) is a rock engraving site located in the bed of the Riet River near Plooysburg, close to Kimberley, Northern Cape, South Africa. At this site, nearly 4,000 exposed individual engravings are carved into glaciated basement rock. It is estimated that the petroglyphs were probably engraved in two distinct periods, the first about 2500 years ago, and the latter more or less 1000 years ago. The engravings at Driekopseiland are associated with cultural rituals and more specifically with puberty rites,

It was established in 1966, when the area was declared a national historical landmark of Azerbaijan in an attempt to preserve the prehistoric rock carvings, mud volcanoes and musical stones in the region.\n\nGobustan State Historical and Cultural Reserve acquired national status in 2006, and Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2007. As of 2011, the Petroglyph Museum functions in the reserve.

These rock carvings can be found west of Smirnishamn near the small village of Järrestad.  Järrestads Hällristningar are among the best-preserved rock carvings in Skåne and all of Sweden. The rock carvings are from the Bronze Age (1,500 - 500 BC). You will find depictions of 25 ships and a handful of horsemen, animal figures, weapons, and foot prints

Petroglyphic rock art of Aral Tolgoi, in the Bayan-Ulgii region of the Altai Mountains in Western Mongolia. Dating back as far as 11,000 years, the unique images are found in a remote mountain valley, giving a glimpse into the past and showing some of the earliest art work of humans who lived in the area thousands of years ago.

Petroglyphs of Cholpon Ata, Kyrgyzstan, Tien Shan Mountains, Central Asia
Hand-drawn rocks (Petroglyphs) in Cholpon-Ata city, Kyrgyzstan.\nNorth of the centre is an extensive field of glacial boulders, many with pictures scratched or picked into their surfaces. Some of these petroglyphs date from the Bronze Age (about 1500 BC), but most are Saka-Usun (8th century BC to 1st century AD), Most are of long-horned ibex.
